At Wisdom and Youth Medical Spa, we offer Jeuveau®, Botox® and Dysport® which are popular neurotoxin cosmetic treatments that help reduce the appearance of moderate to severe lines in the face. They temporarily stop the underlying muscle activity that causes these wrinkles by blocking the neurotransmitters to the muscles. A quick 10 minute treatment is all it takes.  Onset can be as soon as 24 to 48 hours with the effects lasting as long as four months.

Each of these products contain the same active ingredient: botulinum toxin type A, and are designed to address the same types of wrinkles and other cosmetic concerns.

So how are they different?  The main distinction lies in their formulation, which influences the dosage used, how much the product spreads, and how quickly a patient might see the results. For example, Jeuveau® and Botox® are formulated with a similar accompanying protein. Dysport contains a smaller version of a similar protein. All three products are FDA approved and have been used safely and effectively for years. Which of these products is best for you will depend on your unique anatomy, your goals, and your cosmetic injector’s recommendations.

SkinSpaMED is committed to providing our clients with a safe environment at all times. We are closely following and adhering to the CDC and state guidelines.

We decided to implement additional safety practices in addition to our existing use of universal precautions.  Countertops, electronic medical record tablets as well as commonly touched hard surfaces like door knobs and handrails are being regularly and thoroughly disinfected.  Additionally all of our therapists have been issued a N95 mask.

For your safety we are checking staff daily for any signs of infection. For our safety we ask that you refrain from coming to your scheduled appointments if you develop symptoms such as fever, cough and body aches. If you think you need to cancel your appointment we still ask for you to do so the day before if at all possible.
