“Having beautiful skin takes a regular commitment – but it’s achievable for every woman.”

Growing up in Michigan, Marie’s Mom didn’t wear make-up or pay too much attention to the latest fashions. “I love my Mom but we couldn’t have been more different”, laughs Marie as she recalls as a teenager pouring over issues of Glamour magazine to piece together new styles and uncover make-up trends.

“I have always been fascinated with beauty for as long as I can remember. I saw my first wrinkle at the age of 19 when I began modeling in College and stopped exposing myself to the sun without sunscreen," adds Marie. It was about this time that she first started using a moisturizer containing Retin A - a derivative of vitamin A that promotes faster skin cell turnover.

In 1992, Marie graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing and continued modeling part-time. She first tried using Botox in 1997 after her agent told her she looked "older in person."

"Using Botox for the first time blew me away. I loved that I could get almost instant results in a matter of days not months!" Marie began formal training on Botox injection techniques in 2000 and in 2004 opened her first skincare clinic and medical spa in north Dallas, SkinSpaMED. SkinSpaMED is based on the simple premise that every woman deserves to be treated like a celebrity and now enjoys two prestigious locations.

In 2016 Marie launched her own luxury skincare line Rags-2-Riches featuring her simple four-step skincare system:

R - Retinol cream exfoliant derived from vitamin A to build collagen, accelerate cell turnover and brighten skin
A - Antioxidant (Vitamin C)  Antioxidants fight damaging free radicals and help prevent skin aging at a cellular level
G - Growth Factor and peptides to keep your cellular material young and healthy restring healthy skin
S - Sun Protection blocking harmful UVA and UVB rays from damaging skin that cause premature aging

“Beauty to me is about simplicity and economy. Just about all of us have got medicine cabinets overflowing with wrinkle creams that we’ve bought on a whim – hopeful that this time they’ll really work. But they rarely do. So we keep searching. And keep buying. And all that money adds up! You don’t need a lot of different products to have beautiful skin. I always tell our clients to keep their skincare simple – invest in the best products you can afford (you only need four good products) and make looking after your skin a priority. Schedule regular facials like you schedule regular manicures! Having beautiful skin takes a regular commitment – but it’s achievable for every woman.”
