Olivia Culpo's Nighttime Skincare Routine
/Model and actress Olivia Culpo travels the world, walks red carpets, and gets glammed by the best hair and makeup artists in the world- and documents it all to her nearly 4 million Instagram followers. So her nighttime skincare routine is as efficient and luxurious as you’d imagine, but it’s not without a few drugstore picks and easy tricks. In this episode of Go To Bed With Me, Culpo walks us through how she gets all her makeup off and keeps her skin looking Instagram-ready 24/7.
Culpo loves the classic Neutrogena makeup removing wipes, but she boosts their power by dripping the jar in a jar of Trader Joe’s coconut oil. “It works so well to get any stubborn mascara,” she says. She then moves on to a powder enzyme cleanser from Dr. Barbara Sturm. She pores the powder into her palm and mixes it with water to form a paste, then works it into her skin. Culpo says the product prevents her from over-exfoliating, which was causing breakouts on one side side of her face. “It’s really fun too, it’s lightweight because it’s powder,” she says. Culpo rinses her skin clean and pats it dry with a towel. “See? There’s more makeup. That’s why I do this and the wipe, because I want to be sure it’s getting everything off, especially before bed,” she adds.
When Culpo’s been traveling or breaking out, she turns to an exfoliating peel pad from Sanitas or Dr. Dennis Gross. She wipes it over her skin a few times to instantly brighten and gently exfoliate. To add moisture back into her skin, she turns to an “extremely hydrating” balm from Skin Design London and a few drops of La Mer’s hydrating oil. “I find that when I’m breaking out, contrary to popular belief it’s not because my skin is super oily, it’s because my skin is really dehydrated,” she says. “So my pores are acting up and they’re not cooperating with life, airplanes, and lack of sleep.”
